Who are we?
Our Directors reflect the multiculturalism at the core of Kulturbridge. He is British and of Ghanaian descent, she is half German, half Swiss. Based in Switzerland, they work internationally promoting intercultural understanding.
Our motivation.
Our company KulturBridge was formed partly as a result of the challenges we faced ensuring that our children felt enriched and not burdened by their mixed heritage. We want them to be proud of who they are and at the same time respectful of others.
We live in an ever divided world when the one thing we have always needed is unity. What can bring us a little bit closer together without denying our right to be different, our right to be culturally diverse, our right to be an individual?
In modern life, media, film and images provide a large source of the information we consume on a daily basis. This information swirling around us shapes our goals, aspirations, how we feel about the world, how we feel about ourselves and even how we vote!
Our aim is to increase awareness of the way this information interacts with our lives so that we are better equipped to engage with it in a healthier and more critical way without losing sense of who we are.
She ...
… has a Doctorate in Social Anthropology from the University of Bern and has many published articles to her name. She is a widely recognised expert in Gender and Development issues and a true polyglot, speaking 7 languages. She has many years’ experience in leading participatory workshops around the world including in Tanzania, Ghana, Mongolia and Switzerland.
He ...
.. is a Manchester University Economics graduate and holds a Masters degree in Documentary Filmmaking from Goldsmiths, University of London. For many years he enjoyed success as a theatre actor and singer in the West End of London and Paris. With his extensive filmmaking knowledge and over 10 years of teaching experience as a Language Coach in schools, University and businesses, he is particularly qualified to use role play, collaborative theatre and filmmaking to provide a unique and entertaining workshop experience.
